Hydraulics are used as a supplement to electric drive technology. Power and precision can be integrated into the process through intelligent control technology.
All exercises are performed in an Automation Runtime Simulation (ARsim).
Requirements | Duration | Order number | |
---|---|---|---|
Remote lecture: Automation Studio basics [SRL210.4] Optional Remote lecture: The basics of closed-loop control [SRL260.3] Remote Lecture: Integrated motion control - mapp Axis [SRL415.5] | 4 sessions, 4 hours each One session per day | SRL480.4 |
A live session is planned every day. Participants will receive exercises afterwards. A tutor will be available in the chat at agreed times. The chat provides an opportunity to share experiences with other participants. Schedule about 2-3 hours per day.
Learning objectives and content
- Participants will learn the basic physical properties of hydraulics.
- Participants will get an introduction to the control of hydraulic drives.
- Participants will learn about the differences between hydraulic control with servo valves and servo pump drives.
- Participants will be able to configure hydraulic drives with Automation Studio and configure the controllers independently.
- Participants will learn how to use B&R mapp components and hydraulic libraries.
- Participants will learn how to solve control tasks on the simulation model and on real hardware using B&R blocks.
- Participants will put a hydraulic training machine into operation.
- Participants will then be in a position to prepare their custom application in the office and test all the functions in the simulation.
Tasks include
- Participants will build and program machines with hydraulic drives.
- Participants will integrate valve-based hydraulic controls into the control system.
- Participants will integrate hydraulic servo pump controls into the control system.
- Participants will simulate and commission the control application.
